Don't Put Yourself At Risk.
There are over 81,000 viruses on the internet. There are many forms of infections that threaten our computers, networks and files. ARE YOUR DEFINITION FILES UP-TO-DATE?
These malicious threats are known as Malware. The most commonly and publicly known are Viruses and Spyware, while many have heard of Trojans and Worms.
Rootkit This newest malicious brute threatens more than our computers, it threatens to change the entire terrain of Computing Security making the task of protecting your computer diffiicult or even impossible.
Rootkits use cloaking to hide themselves. They make themselves invisible to security systems. They also have the ability to stop the operating systems from reporting them as an active process running on your system. In the early days of their existence they would replace core system files with malware copies, so you couldn't distinguish them as bad file. Modern versions have evolved past the security measures designed to stop their predecessors. They are dangerous to your data and your privacy. The most dangerous and undetectable would require a highly qualified programmer and an error free program while the lesser are still more of a threat than commonplace viruses because they allow an outside menace to control your computer and potentially use your system to attack other sysetms.
Other unknown threats are Stealware, Phishing, Pharming, Exploit, Social Engineering, Packet Sniffer, and Vulnerability Scanner.
